That is absolutely true Saurabh. The story is the same for many cities in Nigeria.

I remember the dreadful flood that affected Tamil Nadu in November last year. Actually I was to visit Chennai in the same week but had to cancel the plan because of the flood. One of the cited causes of that flood was poor drainage system. It is sad that even when early warnings are issued, lives are still lost. I think our coping mechanism is also wanting. The sooner these problems are understood and tackled, the better for us.
