
Dr. Sada Haruna
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Sada is a co-founder of GHI and has been actively working for the organization since 2016. He is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria with a B.Eng degree in Civil Engineering and currently a PhD student in Environmental Engineering at the University of Ottawa, Canada. He also has a master’s degree in Environmental and ASAL (arid and semiarid lands) from Pan African University Institute of Sciences Technology and Innovations, Nairobi Kenya. His current responsibilities at GHI are overseeing programs activities related to climate, content writing and editing, management of organizational website and other IT services. Sada’s research interests include effects of land use changes on soil organic carbon; mine tailings waste management; use of chemical admixtures on the improvement of cemented paste backfill; use of bentonite-sand mixture as a backfill and barrier material in deep geological repositories. In his spare time, Sada is mostly occupied with outdoor sport activities, writing or traveling.
